Chapter President's Note

Dear Greater Kansas City AUSA Members and Friends,

 

Glad to be on board with you as the new president of the chapter. Not much to add at this point except to say that I plan to continue the great work of my predecessor, Diane Boeger, in drawing the KCAUSA membership, potential members, and friends closer together in support of the Army and the broader Army family.

As you know our mission is to extend the reach of AUSA national into communities across the country-- adding to the "Voice for the Army, support for the Soldier" effort. We're already working on our priorities for this year, one of which is the annual Army Birthday Celebration in June. Please be ready to help organize or encourage attendance -- and attend yourself. This is the largest Army birthday celebration west of the Mississippi and we intend to keep it that way in order to bring attention to the Army and the entire Army familiy that they deserve. We're also working on our priorities for supporting our local Army recruiting battalion and the ROTC and JROTC units in our footprint.

I'll be adding messages here from time to time as well as sending out emails and using the chapter facebook and twitter pages. I ask you to energize yourselves and remember why (or attend one of our meetings and learn why) the mission of AUSA in the Greater Kansas City metro area matters.
