About AUSA
AUSA Mission
AUSA is a private, non-profit educational organization committed to supporting America’s Army--Active, National Guard, Reserve, Civilians, Retirees, and family members. AUSA represents Soldiers by providing a voice for all components of the Army; fostering public support of the Army’s role in national security; and providing professional education and information programs.
AUSA Vision
AUSA’s vision is to be the premier voice for America’s Soldiers, providing a dedicated team committed to building the best professional and representative association for the world’s best Army.
About KC AUSA
KC AUSA Mission
As one of the 127 AUSA chapters located in nine regions worldwide, the Greater Kansas City Chapter is committed to the same ideals outlined in the national association mission and vision. KC AUSA’s mission is to promote an understanding of national security issues, the importance of maintaining a strong and ready Army and to enhance patriotism within the Greater Kansas City area.
Specifically, we advocate an integrated professional military force comprised of Active, Reserve and National Guard Soldiers that is fully manned to support all missions, uses the best technologies and equipment, is fully sustainable, competently trained and ready to deploy rapidly to any location in the world to successfully defend the interests and security of our nation.
KC AUSA Vision
In the Greater Kansas City area we seek to band together a group of service members, retirees, veterans, business and civic leaders, cadets and citizens who share the goals of maintaining a strong Army and national security. We also seek to support the interests of Soldiers and their families who serve or who have served.
What KC AUSA does…
- Organize periodic topic breakfast programs with notable guest speakers from the Army, industry, media or government.
- Organize and support local programs designed to benefit Soldiers, retirees, veterans and their families. Each year our volunteers assist with the “Heart of America Stand Down” program to help needy veterans in the Kansas City area.
- Provide guest speakers upon request to news media, schools, civic organizations and other local groups to give interviews or presentations on the Army or other national security related issues.
- Raise funds to support wounded Soldiers and their families.
- Organize efforts to communicate the interests or concerns of Soldiers, retirees, veterans and their families to local, state and federal political leadership.
- Conduct ceremonies and events to promote patriotism and an understanding of the Army and other services. The premier event each year is our military ball to celebrate the Army Birthday.
