Member Breakfast Meeting, Sept. 30, 7 a.m.
Join the Kansas City Chapter of AUSA and the Kansas City Chapter of Business Executives for National Security (BENS) in a special guest speaker breakfast at the KC Marriott Downtown, 200 W. 12 St., Kansas City, on Sept. 30, at 7 a.m.  Our guest speaker is Lt. Gen. Benjamin Freakley, Commanding General of the U.S. Army Accessions Command.  Lt. Gen. Freakley is responsible for all U.S. Army recruiting and will provide us with great information and insights into recruiting Soldiers and leaders for the greatest Army in the world.

Networking begins at 7 a.m. and the breakfast will start promptly at 7:30.  Membership is not a requirement, so please invite your family, friends and coworkers.

Members who bring one or more military history books for donation to our ROTC libraries will receive $2 off the cost of their breakfast.

Grantham and AUSA offer 4-year scholarships to Heart of America NCO and NCO Spouse
Kansas City, Mo.- July 23, 2010 - For the second year in a row, Grantham University, an online university serving working adult students around the world for nearly 60 years, has partnered with the Greater Kansas City Chapter of the Association of the United States Army (KCAUSA) to provide one full, four-year scholarship to a Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) and one full, four-year scholarship to the spouse of a NCO. The scholarships cover tuition costs for an undergraduate or graduate degree, required textbooks, software, fees and shipping of the course materials. The value of each scholarship is approximately $36,000. <more>

The Greater Kansas City, Henry Leavenworth and Fort Riley Chapters of the Association of the United States Army in the Heartland of America celebrated the 235th Birthday of the United States Army, June 5, at the Westin Crown Center, Kansas City, Mo. .
