KCAUSA celebrates 10th anniversary
The Greater Kansas City Chapter of the Association of the United States Army (KCAUSA) celebrated its 10th anniversary Sept. 22, 2009. Nearly 150 chapter members and guests attended the event in the Imperial Ballroom of the Muehlebach Tower of the KC Marriott Downtown.

Grantham University Offers Full Scholarship to Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) and Spouse--Submission Deadline is Aug. 31
Kansas City, Mo. – July 6, 2009 – Grantham University (www.grantham.edu), an online university serving working adult students around the world, will provide one full, four-year scholarship to a Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) and one full, four-year scholarship to the spouse of a NCO from the community of the Greater Kansas City, Ft. Leavenworth, Ft. Riley, and Topeka Chapters of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA).  <more>
Help the Gold Star Mothers Honor Fallen Soldiers by Sponsoring a $15 Wreath
Our local Northeast Kansas Chapter of American Gold Star Mothers has chosen to "Remember, Honor, Teach" the community an initiative to place as many wreaths on the graves of our fallen veterans as possible. The Northeast Kansas Chapter of American Gold Star Mothers is looking for individuals or organizations to sponsor wreaths for our local Leavenworth National Cemetery. Wreath sponsorship is $15.00 per wreath.
 
You are also invited to attend the wreath laying ceremony at 11 a.m., Dec. 12, at the Leavenworth National Cemetery. Attendees will actually be able to help place the wreaths on the graves of veterans. The Leavenworth National Cemetery is located at 150 Muncie Road, Leavenworth, Kan. <more>
