Lessons Learned from the Tet Offensive-- A free program open to the public sponsored by the Kansas City Public Library
Join a panel of experts for a discussion about lessons learned from the Vietnam War's Tet Offensive and how they might be applied to the present day. The Kansas City Public Library marks the 40th anniversary of the start of the Vietnam War’s Tet Offensive with this panel discussion of lessons learned from the three-phase campaign on Thursday, January 31, at 6:30 p.m, at the Central Library on 14 W. 10th St., Kansas City, Mo.  A 6 p.m. reception precedes the event. Admission is free, but reservations are recommended. Free parking will be available in the Library District parking garage at 10th and Baltimore. <more>
NEWSFLASH: KCAUSA hosts a breakfast event with the Sergeant Major of the Army
(Jan. 10, 2008) The Greater Kansas City Chapter of the Association of the United States Army is hosting a  special breakfast event for Sergeant Major of the Army Kenneth O. Preston at 7:30 a.m., January 29, at the Pavillion at Arrowhead Stadium. Cost of the breakfast is $15; $6 for Soldiers and ROTC Cadets.
